Business is great.
May 26th, 2009 7:36 PM

It has been 78 days since my last post.  Unbelievable!  I have been kept busy with work and very thankful especially after last year's bust.  The majority of work has been refi's.  They still appear to be going strong.  Just think the year is almost 1/2 over and it seems like it just began.

The local market still seems sluggish but not as bad as some areas of the country.

Refinance
March 9th, 2009 5:34 PM

This year has proven to be a refinance haven.  The interest rates still remain low.  SBJ indicated jobs closing; however, the most recent 'good' news is the announcement of a new 400,00 SF distribution center located near Republic.  It will employ 400 workers with the average annual salary of $34,000.  This building sits on 132 acres with great access to I-44.  This off sets the recent announcements of the closings of of Aaron's Automotive (184 workers) and Trinity Industries with 228 workers.  Fed Ex is also building a large center on the west side of Springfield.  It is unknown if or how many workers will be added.

Nationally, the economy still is considered critical.

Business is S L O W
September 17th, 2008 10:13 AM
This year has been absolutely horrible for the housing industry.  We have 'teaser' months and then it falls flat.  I started a new business about 3-4 months ago to help supplement our income.  It is exciting and has been a life saver.  If you would like to know more just email me at: janacopeland@sbcglobal.net.
